I'm Scott Pham, a data journalist at the Center for Investigative Reporting. I report on data-centric stories and create interactive visualizations like maps, charts and other digital stuff.

Before that, I was a the digital editor for the NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit. At the time, it was the largest team of on-air investigative reporters in the nation. I used data to enable investigations and built interactive visualizations for the web.

I'm also a radio journalist and used to work for NPR and Pacific stations. At KBIA Public Radio in Missouri I served as Content Director for the station. Among other things, I covered tech and business and hosted a podcast called "CoMo Explained."

While at KBIA, I co-founded and ran a program called the Missouri Drone Journalism Program in 2012. I've since left the radio station, but the University of Missouri is still exploring the field of drone journalism. Contact Matthew Dickinson for more information on what they're doing now.

Drop me a line or check out some of my work.
